While we did spend most of our weekend working on various projects, we managed to get out for a quick bite to eat with two of our good pals– Kelly and Aaron. Kelly is a designer and writes a fabulous blog called Eat Make Read…. with recipes and inspiration to fill an afternoon at least. Aaron is also a designer and partner of a design shop called Objective Subject, located in Dumbo, Brooklyn…. hands down, it is one of my favorite company names of late. Incidentally, Aaron and company are helping us out with our new website! We can’t wait for it to be complete and to unveil it soon. This little old blog portion will still exist– just a tad bit more on the sidelines.
Anyway, the point of this post is to let you know (and recommend you go) to a swell place called Zuzu Ramen, on Fourth Avenue in Park Slope, Brooklyn. It’s a tiny place with simple, yet thoughtful interiors…. but the noodles are why we went, and why we’ll keep going back! Perfectly fresh, tender and creating just the right amount of resistance between our teeth…. the noodles come floating in a variety of broths, all of which are delicious. The menu is vegetarian friendly, which is ideal for me, and has mostly traditional Japanese flavors, some with a modern twist. Try their edamame with green tea sea salt and their self titled, Zuzu Ramen. Yum.
A design bonus: they have great patterns that accompany their printed matter as seen in the pic above. A photo of the interior after the jump.
