Exercise your poetic license and stop by Lucky Gallery in Brooklyn’s Redhook (176 Richards Street, Brooklyn, NY 11231) for a cleverly curated show by Ben Peterson titled “Wearing Whitman’s Words; A Typographic Exploration.”
Designers were asked to create new works specifically for this show using lines of Walt Whitman’s poems, from his self-published 1855 book, Leaves of Grass. The varied typographic explorations have been silkscreened on t-shirts for this exhibit. Attend the opening, and you will receive one!
Among the many talented artists in this exhibit are Ed Nacional, Jessica Hische, and our pals at Friends of Type! (jason included)
Opening: December 5th, 6-9pm
Show Run: December 5th - January 10th, 2010
