bm_claretroseOur Love as seen on the wall in Benjamin Moore’s 2010 color forecast room for Claret Rose. A fine looking room to boot. Thanks to Apartment Therapy for the heads up.

Although most of our cards are produced by us, we do have a few that we entrust other careful hands with. We thought these images of our “Our Love Is Here to Stay” cards from the printer looked groovy and thought we’d share them.

Whoo-hoo…. Happy New Year! A big thank you to all who supported us in 2009. It was a doozy. We couldn’t have made it through without you. With lots of things cooking in the workshop, we just have to keep on top of it all…. heh. Exciting times ahead. Onwards to 2010.

Exercise your poetic license and stop by Lucky Gallery in Brooklyn’s Redhook (176 Richards Street, Brooklyn, NY 11231) for a cleverly curated show by Ben Peterson titled “Wearing Whitman’s Words; A Typographic Exploration.”

Designers were asked to create new works specifically for this show using lines of Walt Whitman’s poems, from his self-published 1855 book, Leaves of Grass. The varied typographic explorations have been silkscreened on t-shirts for this exhibit. Attend the opening, and you will receive one!

Among the many talented artists in this exhibit are Ed NacionalJessica Hische, and our pals at Friends of Type! (jason included)

Opening: December 5th, 6-9pm
Show Run: December 5th - January 10th, 2010

Maialino

Italian for suckling pig, Maialino is the name of Danny Meyer’s new restaurant located in the Gramercy Park Hotel in New York City. A new Roman-style trattoria, it offers breakfast, lunch and dinner.

We were asked by the Rockwell Group, who designed the interior of Maialino, to create this custom card to be used in conjunction with the opening of the restaurant. The letterpress card features a laurel of rosemary and thyme, traditional ingredients in Italian suckling pig recipes.

We can’t wait to check out the restaurant.
